We are seeking a skilled and reliable Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic logistics team in Houston, Texas. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our warehouse facilities. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance on warehouse equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring all machinery operates at peak performance. You will collaborate with the logistics and operations management to identify and address potential equipment failures, implement preventative maintenance schedules, and manage spare parts inventory. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety protocols are essential. You will be expected to adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This role requires physical stamina, as you may be involved in tasks that require significant Lifting of equipment and parts. Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Ensure all Safety regulations are met and documented.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed.
- Assist with installations of new equipment and modifications to existing systems.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and work areas.
- Operate various tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Adhere to all company guidelines regarding PPE.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanics or electronics preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of general mechanics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring frequent Lifting, bending, and standing.
- Excellent understanding of workplace Safety procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
