Join our vibrant logistics team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Baltimore, Maryland! This role is the backbone of our warehouse operations, ensuring that goods are received, processed, and shipped with precision and efficiency. You will be instrumental in managing the inbound and outbound flow of products, verifying shipments against orders, and preparing items for distribution. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that all activities comply with safety regulations. We are seeking an individual who is highly organized, possesses excellent attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of shipping and receiving procedures within a logistics setting is crucial. You'll be involved in receiving incoming shipments, inspecting for damage, stocking inventory, and preparing outgoing orders for transit. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform regular lifting of up to 50 pounds. Maintaining a safe work environment through the diligent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety protocols is non-negotiable. Effective communication and teamwork are vital as you'll collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operations. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Stage and prepare outgoing shipments for carriers.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Stock shelves and manage inventory in designated areas.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and record-keeping.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
