Become a Picker/Packer in our Richmond, Virginia facility and play a vital role in our order fulfillment process. This role is essential for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for picking items from inventory shelves based on order slips and carefully packing them for shipment. Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy are key attributes for success in this position. We emphasize a strong commitment to workplace safety , and all employees are required to use provided PPE . The job involves standing for extended periods, walking, and regular lifting . Understanding basic warehouse logistics will be beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from inventory shelves based on order specifications.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipping.
- Label packages for outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our order fulfillment and logistics .
- Handle products with care to prevent damage.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous picking and packing experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and labels.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and perform lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations.
- Compliance with all safety guidelines and use of required PPE .
