We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our bustling logistics facility in Boston, Massachusetts. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout the warehouse. Your efficiency and accuracy in handling inventory are vital to our supply chain operations. You will operate various types of warehouse equipment, ensuring materials are moved safely and efficiently from receiving to shipping areas. This position demands a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and inventory.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment according to documentation.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure that all materials are stored correctly and securely.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs, on a regular basis.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics best practices.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and the importance of adherence.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and a strong commitment to safety.
