We are looking for a detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our busy warehouse operations in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is critical to our logistics success, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include accurately picking items for orders, carefully packing them for shipment, and ensuring all orders are processed correctly. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scanning equipment.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Carefully pack items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring protection during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Operate hand-held scanners and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining picking and packing areas.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory checks and assist with stock replenishment.
- Contribute to meeting daily order fulfillment targets and supporting overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse/logistics role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good manual dexterity and organizational skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and willingness to use PPE.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
