Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, accurately documenting inventory, and ensuring all items are correctly processed for further distribution. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload all incoming freight from trucks and other carriers.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and packing lists, identifying and reporting any discrepancies.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage, shortages, or quality issues.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Label and tag inventory appropriately for tracking and put-away.
- Stage received goods in the designated area for processing or storage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as directed.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, delivery personnel, and internal warehouse staff regarding receiving activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or logistics is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform moderate physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and practices.
- Willingness to wear and utilize required PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
