Join our vibrant warehouse team in Jacksonville, Florida, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate. This multifaceted role is essential for the efficient operation of our logistics hub, encompassing both the acceptance of incoming goods and the dispatch of outgoing products. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, maintaining inventory integrity, and upholding rigorous safety standards. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with a strong work ethic, a commitment to accuracy, and experience in a warehouse setting. Your contribution will be vital to our supply chain's success.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies and initiate corrective actions.
- Accurately document received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
- Generate shipping labels and arrange for carrier pickups.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in both receiving and shipping areas.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and the proper use of PPE.
- Must be comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a combined shipping and receiving role or similar warehouse position.
- Proficiency in using WMS and other relevant software.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, bending, and lifting.
