We are seeking detail-oriented Picker/Packers for our facility in Durham, North Carolina. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from our inventory and preparing them for shipment, ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. This position is crucial to our logistics success and requires a keen eye for detail and efficient work habits. You'll work within a dynamic warehouse environment, using scanning technology to manage inventory and fulfill orders. Maintaining a safe and clean workspace, and adhering to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is a top priority. This role offers a physically engaging experience and the chance to be part of a supportive team.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Inspect items for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Package products securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Use handheld scanners to track inventory and update order status.
- Verify order contents against customer orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet daily productivity and quality targets.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center is preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capacity for lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Familiarity with basic logistics concepts is a plus.
