Join our busy warehouse operations as a Material Handler in Houston, Texas! We are looking for a dependable and hardworking individual to manage the flow of materials within our facility. Your responsibilities will include operating material handling equipment, assisting with inventory, and ensuring materials are stored and moved efficiently and safely. This role is critical to maintaining operational flow and supporting our shipping and receiving departments. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials safely.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Ensure materials are handled carefully to prevent damage and loss.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Strictly adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Use and maintain all required PPE appropriately.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Support the overall Logistics and supply chain operations of the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Proven ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Understanding of warehouse inventory and Logistics principles.
