We are looking for a reliable and skilled Material Handler to become a vital part of our warehouse operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is fundamental to ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our facility, supporting our extensive logistics network. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and organization of materials, from receiving raw goods to dispatching finished products. You will operate various types of material handling equipment, requiring a keen sense of spatial awareness and a commitment to safe operating practices. Our team is dedicated to maintaining a highly organized and safe working environment, and we expect all associates to uphold these standards. This position demands physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. We offer comprehensive training in our systems and safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and accurately store incoming materials and inventory.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials safely.
- Transport items to designated areas within the warehouse, including production and shipping zones.
- Maintain organized inventory levels and assist with stock checks.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, staging, and loading materials.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Strictly follow all safety guidelines and company policies, including proper usage of PPE.
- Participate in inventory management and control processes.
- Handle frequent lifting of heavy items, up to 60 lbs, throughout the shift.
- Ensure efficient logistics by maintaining proper material flow and organization.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse capacity.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery.
- Ability to perform demanding physical tasks, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and equipment operation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual attendance record.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic logistics environment.
