We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse team in Los Angeles, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will ensure that products are handled with care and that warehouse operations run smoothly. This position requires a certified and experienced forklift operator who prioritizes safety and operational excellence in a demanding logistics environment. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining workflow and supporting our shipping and receiving departments. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and possesses a strong work ethic. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to transport goods.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with incoming and outgoing freight.
- Stack and retrieve inventory from various levels of racking.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment is paramount. Knowledge of logistics principles and best practices in material handling is beneficial. Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
