Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your responsibilities will include conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and ensuring optimal stock levels. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding our high standards of operational efficiency. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to streamline inventory processes and minimize losses. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management systems. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure adequate stock.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address inventory-related issues.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Support receiving and shipping operations as needed.
  • Assist with data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
Experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role is preferred. Familiarity with WMS software. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be comfortable with manual data entry and analysis. Physical stamina for standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles is a plus. A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety guidelines is mandatory. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of our logistics operations.
