This role provides broad support to members of the Products, General Liability and Professional Liability Underwriting Teams in the areas of research, analysis and development of underwriting information, pricing models, and issuance of insurance documentation such as quotes, binders, policies and endorsements. Further duties & responsibilities are listed below

  • Become familiar with insurance concepts related to the respective product lines
  • Communicate with brokers via email and phone as directed by Underwriting Team
  • Review underwriting submissions along with prior years' internal electronic records to develop pertinent information to be shared with the Underwriting Team
  • Clear and screen new business submissions
  • Monitor submission inboxes and process/distribute new submissions according to protocols
  • Become proficient with several proprietary underwriting models. Load models with required data points to include multiple iterations/scenarios as directed by the Underwriting Team.
  • Responsible for assisting Underwriting Team on credit control items.
  • Assist Underwriting Team in proofreading quote/binder/policy documents for final transmission to brokers.
  • Provide administrative support as directed.
  • Consult with Central Processing Facility team to coordinate quote, binder, certificate and policy issuance.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Skills/Experience:

Required:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Previous experience working in a role that required strong analytical skills and precise attention to details
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted underwriting practices
  • Strong people skills

Preferred:

  • Aerospace or Risk Management/Insurance related degree studies
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills

Pay Range

Anticipated Pay Range For This Role Is:

$60,000 – $70,000

This pay range represents the base annual full-time salary for this position. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to relevant experience, education, geography and skill set. All full time positions are eligible to participate in Global's profit-sharing plan program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
