The Orchard at Big Rapids is looking for you a consistent PRN or Part time SLP to join our in-house team. Under new ownership

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work primarily in a SNF/LTC setting, providing essential speech therapy services to older adults and geriatrics with communication Stroke, swallowing and a number of other issues. This role requires a deep understanding of speech therapy techniques and patient assessment

Ideal candidates will have experience with LTC and SNF and a background using Net Health

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate residents for swallowing, speech, language, and cognitive deficits.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies.
  • Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete daily billing.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance resident care and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience working with the geriatric population is a plus.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
