A leading renewable energy developer, owner, and operator is seeking a Manager, Project Engineering to oversee the technical delivery of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of EPC & Operations, the Manager, Project Engineering will lead technical oversight for project design, engineering quality, and execution support. The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge of solar and BESS systems, strong communication skills, and experience coordinating with EPCs, consultants, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical reviews of project design packages (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC), studies, and engineering analyses.
- Conduct contract and design reviews to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and project requirements.
- Provide technical guidance throughout the full project lifecycle - from early development through commissioning.
- Coordinate with internal project management, procurement, and operations teams to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
- Interface with EPC contractors and vendors to resolve technical challenges.
- Manage and track RFIs, NCRs, and design updates to maintain project alignment and compliance.
- Identify risks and propose technical solutions to support performance and reliability targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required); Master's preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in solar and/or energy storage project engineering.
- Proven record of technical oversight for at least five major solar and storage projects.
- Strong understanding of utility-scale project design, permitting, and construction processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and general MS Office suite.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
