Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating visually stunning and delicious cakes, with experience in food preparation and decorating techniques. This role offers an opportunity to showcase culinary creativity while ensuring high standards of food safety and presentation. The Cake Decorator will work closely with our bakery staff to produce custom cakes for various occasions, delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes according to customer specifications, including piping, fondant work, and intricate designs
• Prepare cake fillings, frostings, and other decorative elements using food industry best practices
• Package finished cakes carefully to ensure quality during transport and display
• Assist in food production tasks such as baking, mixing, and portioning ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and decorating areas
• Handle food safely in compliance with health regulations
• Support the team with general kitchen duties as needed, including food handling and preparation for other bakery items
• Provide excellent customer service by discussing cake options and customizing designs when required

Experience

• Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry arts, or culinary arts with a strong portfolio of decorated cakes
• Background in food industry settings such as bakeries, catering, or restaurant environments is preferred
• Skills in food safety, handling kitchen equipment, and knife techniques are essential
• Experience with baking, food preparation, and food industry standards is highly desirable
• Familiarity with packaging techniques for baked goods and understanding of catering or restaurant operations will be advantageous
