Job Purpose

The Quality Technician performs incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet defined specifications and standards. This role requires strong documentation accuracy, part identification skills, and experience working in ISO-regulated environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner, so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
  2. You are expected to act in a safe manner at all times and ensure that those around you do not put themselves or others at risk. Safety is everyone's responsibility. At ALL times working safely is a condition of employment.
  3. Perform visual, dimensional, and documentation-based inspections on product and components
  4. Utilize measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) and inspection standards
  5. Review drawings, specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements
  6. Document all inspection results with accuracy, clarity, and traceability
  7. Identify, tag, and process nonconforming product using established procedures
  8. Assist with corrective action documentation, quality holds, and re-inspection activities
  9. Support ISO compliance, audits, data collection, and procedural documentation
  10. Verify part identification, revision levels, labels, and traceability requirements
  11. Communicate quality concerns to supervision, engineering, and production
  12. Follow safety, housekeeping, and standard work guidelines
  13. All other assigned duties.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing quality inspection or Quality Tech role
  2. Proficient with inspection documentation and recordkeeping
  3. Familiar with ISO procedures, audits, and compliance
  4. Ability to identify, tag, track, and document nonconforming product
  5. Understanding of part identification, measurement tools, drawings, and specifications
  6. strong attention to detail and able to follow written procedures
  7. Excellent communication and reporting skills

Working Conditions

  1. Work is performed in an active manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to machinery, material-handling equipment, and production processes.
  2. Requires ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move for extended periods throughout the shift.
  3. Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 40–50 lbs as needed.
  4. May require use of ladders, step stools, or reaching into racking or staging areas.
  5. Exposure to moderate noise levels, moving equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes), and industrial materials.
  6.  Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection where needed.
  7.  Work may involve temperature variations, including warm or cool areas depending on season and machinery.
  8.  Must maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas aligned with 5S or similar programs.
  9.  Position may require overtime, shift flexibility, or weekend work based on production demand. 

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods of up to 8–12 hours per shift. The individual must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40–50 pounds independently, with team-lifting required for heavier items. The job involves physical activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, and climbing as necessary to complete tasks. Repetitive use of hands, wrists, and arms may be required when handling materials, operating equipment, or entering information into computer systems. The employee must be able to read, understand, and interpret instructions, labels, tags, and documents with or without accommodation and must safely operate manual and power tools, measuring devices, and inspection equipment when applicable.
