Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, and residential painting. This role requires leadership qualities, customer service skills, and the ability to interpret schematics and operate CMMS systems. The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment.

Duties

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure continuous operation.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues using tools such as ohmmeters and schematics.
• Repair or replace faulty components including motors, belts, wiring, and plumbing.
• Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose and adjust automated systems.
• Conduct welding repairs and perform residential painting as needed for facility upkeep.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Supervise junior technicians or maintenance staff during projects or daily tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and facility standards at all times.
• Assist in emergency repairs and respond promptly to equipment failures or safety hazards.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal departments by ensuring timely maintenance support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing environments, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, schematics interpretation, and CMMS software.
• Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ohmmeters.
• Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting projects.
• Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Leadership experience supervising teams or projects is preferred.
• Good communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration.
