Compal is seeking an experienced Total Rewards Manager to design, implement, and optimize Compal USA's compensation, benefits, and rewards programs. This leader ensures the Total Rewards strategy supports business goals, drives employee engagement, ensures market competitiveness, and maintains regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
Compensation
- Lead the design, administration, and governance of job architecture, salary structures, and compensation programs.
- Manage annual compensation cycles including merit, bonus, and equity processes; partner with finance on budgeting and forecasting.
- Conduct market benchmarking to ensure competitive pay practices and maintain internal equity across roles and functions.
- Develop and maintain salary ranges, pay policies, and compensation guidelines for leaders.
- Analyze and approve compensation recommendations for new hires, promotions, and adjustments.
- Provide compensation insights to support workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention strategies.
Benefits & Well-Being
- Oversee the administration of employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness initiatives.
- Partner with brokers and vendors to optimize plan design, reduce costs, and enhance employee experience.
- Manage open enrollment, employee education campaigns, and ongoing benefits communication.
- Monitor compliance with federal and state regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, etc.).
Total Rewards Strategy & Analytics
- Develop and execute a Total Rewards strategy aligned with Compal USA's business objectives.
- Build dashboards and reporting to track compensation trends, benefits utilization, and program effectiveness.
- Deliver insights and recommendations to senior leadership using data-driven analytics.
- Manage Total Rewards components of HRIS systems and ensure data accuracy.
Compliance & Governance
- Maintain compensation and benefits compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Review compensation decisions to ensure pay equity and adherence to company guidelines.
- Support audits and regulatory reporting related to compensation and benefits.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as a strategic advisor to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders.
- Provide training on compensation philosophy, pay practices, and benefits programs.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, consultants, and brokers to maximize service quality and value.
- Lead special projects related to M&A, restructuring, job leveling, and workforce transitions.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or Total Rewards roles.
- Strong knowledge of compensation practices, market benchmarking, and benefits administration.
- Experience with HRIS systems and compensation tools (e.g., Workday, SAP, PayScale, Mercer, Radford).
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Deep understanding of federal and state labor laws relevant to compensation and benefits.
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, technology, or large-scale operations.
- CCP or CEBS certification (or progress toward certification).
- Experience supporting multi-state or global organizations.
- Strong consulting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
