Position Type:
Full-Time, Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

Location:
Hoffman Estates, IL – 100% on site role

Pay Rate:
$ $25.00 per hour

Inside Sales Team Lead; Sales & Customer Service Manager

Job Summary

The Customer Service Agent provides high-quality customer support and inside sales assistance in a fast-paced office environment. This role is responsible for accurately processing orders, supporting customer inquiries, and contributing to sales efforts through effective phone communication and product recommendations. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous, professional customer service to customers, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Handle inbound and outbound phone calls to identify customer needs, recommend products, and close sales (low call volume, 20 CPD).
  • Accurately enter and process sales orders, purchase orders, packing lists, and related documentation in front-end and back-end systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy, correct pricing, and proper product selection.
  • Navigate multiple systems and tools to research inquiries and complete transactions efficiently.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and adherence to assigned schedules.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members while maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
  • Support company standards for service quality, ethics, and performance.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of solid office-based customer service experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proper grammar and professional tone.
  • Proven attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and solve problems efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn proprietary systems.
  • Comfort with phone-based sales and customer engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in HVAC, industrial, or distribution environments (preferred but not required).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused office setting.
