Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, and self-motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to join a growing practice. This role involves providing specialized, person centered speech and language therapy services to older adults. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neurological conditions, experience working with older adults, and excellent communication and organization skills. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' communication and cognitive abilities and overall quality of life.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
  • Incorporate and involve family members and caregivers in all aspects of therapy
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to support patient progress
  • Monitor and document patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Educate patients and their families about strategies, therapy exercises, home programs and recommendations
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
  • Stay current with EBP and advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development

Qualifications

  • Passionate about having a meaningful impact on your patient's lives
  • Master's degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders (strong CF candidates may be considered)
  • Valid Oregon state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, patient assessment methods, and medical terminology in the areas of stroke rehabilitation, Parkinson's disease, and other neurological conditions
  • Prior experience working with adult neurological conditions preferred
  • Preference for SPEAK OUT certified clinicians
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

Pay: $ $80.00 per hour
