Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions incorporating modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health episodes effectively while ensuring patient safety
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster motivation for change and enhance treatment engagement
- Provide specialized counseling for issues including grief, addiction, PTSD care, gender issues, chronic pain management, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate medical records management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans and coordinate care for inpatient or outpatient clients
- Conduct intake assessments and facilitate telehealth sessions to expand access to mental health services
- Engage in clinical research initiatives to support evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes
- Stay current with medical terminology, ICD coding updates, CPT coding practices, and behavioral health trends to enhance clinical effectiveness
Experience
- Proven experience in psychotherapy or clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings
- Demonstrated expertise in working with children, adolescents, or geriatrics across diverse mental health conditions
- Hands-on experience with crisis management, behavior management, social work principles, and case management strategies
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards including HIPAA compliance and electronic health records systems
- Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic classification and billing purposes
- Experience delivering telehealth services using secure platforms for remote patient care
- Background in research or data collection related to behavioral health or clinical studies is advantageous
- Strong understanding of psychopharmacology principles relevant to integrated treatment approaches
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs in educational or community settings
