Summary
Brief Description
The Staff Accountant handles Accounts Payable and daily/monthly Accounting tasks. Ensure the general ledger is accurate, complete and in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Comply with all regulatory requirements associated with the cannabis industry. Adhere to generally accepted accounting principles, company procedures, and controls when carrying out assignments.
  • Responsible for full-cycle Accounts Payable.
  • Record credit card transactions and all utilities.
  • Assist in providing data and supporting documentation to auditors and tax accountants.
  • Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of financial accounting processes.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with various accounting software.
  • Logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.

Required
Education and/or Experience

  • One to two years' experience in accounting.
  • Three to four years' experience in accounts payable.
  • Understanding of GAAP.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following software applications:

  • Enterprise Resource Planning Software (ERP) SAP, preferred
  • Intermediate level Excel
  • Microsoft Office
