Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions across assigned routes.
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring cargo integrity.
• Deliver goods efficiently to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance standards.
• Manage route driving schedules effectively, adjusting for traffic or weather conditions as needed.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling.
• Ability to operate manual transmission trucks comfortably and safely.
• Experience with various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with load & unload procedures and proper securing of freight.
• Knowledge of route planning and route driving best practices for efficiency and safety.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $0.50 - $0.75 per mile
