Essential Duties and Responsibilities
An employee in this class is responsible for providing support to the users of the computerized environment including the maintenance, on-site training, and other assistance for the efficient operation of the information system. This position provides testing of new applications, new hardware, monitoring of systems, performing backup, documenting procedures, installing software, and programming functions of the computer information system. Work requires troubleshooting problems with Information Systems equipment or applications and an understanding of existing computer applications and network equipment. The employee may be required to conduct training and implement the needed changes with departments. Work is performed under supervision of the Information Technology Director and is evaluated through conferences, records and reports, and successful implementation of automated environments and programs. Candidate should have at least 5 years of solid experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Visits work sites and/or provides technical answers via telephone or remote support to diagnose and solve computer, printer, and network problems.
- Provides input to identified user needs to determine the hardware, software, and automated configuration required to meet needs while using technical judgment in this process.
- Installs and maintains administrative and technical software upgrade packages and installs new Software.
- Maintains county website.
- Maintains security on county social media sites.
- Performs administrative functions such as security and access for email, domain servers, file servers and multiple application servers (Finance, Public Safety, Tax, etc.)
- Performs the installation and maintenance of PC, laptops, servers, printers, routers, switches, video Systems and Security appliances.

- Teaches users how to operate equipment, software, and applications.
- Performs and checks daily backup to cloud and disks.
- Maintains equipment and software asset database.
- Installs and maintains Cat5/Cat6 cabling and patch panel.
- Orders materials and supplies needed for Information Systems.
- Prepares purchase requisitions, enters information into the computer, and maintains logs of purchase orders.
- Coordinates and administers special computer runs and printouts requested by system users.
Additional Job Duties
Performs other duties as required.
Provides technical support for Public Safety.

The successful candidate must possess a valid driver's license.
Desirable Education and Experience
- Associate degree in computer Programming, Systems Administration or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 and Window Server 2019 and Networking. Need to have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- Candidate should have at least 5 years of solid experience.
- Any of the following certifications will be a plus MCSE, MCSA, Comptia A+, Network +, Comptia Security+ and CCNA
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform sedentary work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects. Must possess the visual acuity to prepare and analyze figures, operate a computer terminal, perform mechanical tasks in the computer environment, do extensive reading, and do visual inspections of computer parts and automated data.
