About the Role
Riceland Healthcare System is seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care on an across our clinics and facilities. The ideal candidate will be a licensed and experienced healthcare provider who can deliver exceptional clinical services, collaborate effectively with physicians and staff, and uphold commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, under the scope of practice and physician supervision (as applicable).
- Conduct patient evaluations, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results.
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans in coordination with the care team.
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions following evidence-based guidelines.
- Document all patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and safety standards.
- Provide coverage for other providers as needed, including during absences or peak patient volumes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Texas Nurse Practitioner license and Board Certification (FNP, AGNP, etc.).
- Current BLS/ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner (preferably in primary care, urgent care, or specialty care).
- Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
- Proficiency in EMR systems (experience with eClinicalWorks preferred).
Schedule
- May include weekday, weekend, or holiday shifts depending on availability.
