About the Role

Riceland Healthcare System is seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care on an across our clinics and facilities. The ideal candidate will be a licensed and experienced healthcare provider who can deliver exceptional clinical services, collaborate effectively with physicians and staff, and uphold commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, under the scope of practice and physician supervision (as applicable).
  • Conduct patient evaluations, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results.
  • Develop and implement patient treatment plans in coordination with the care team.
  • Manage acute and chronic medical conditions following evidence-based guidelines.
  • Document all patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and safety standards.
  • Provide coverage for other providers as needed, including during absences or peak patient volumes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid Texas Nurse Practitioner license and Board Certification (FNP, AGNP, etc.).
  • Current BLS/ACLS certification.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner (preferably in primary care, urgent care, or specialty care).
  • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems (experience with eClinicalWorks preferred).

Schedule

  • May include weekday, weekend, or holiday shifts depending on availability.
