Senior Oracle Developer

We're seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Developer to join our IT team at our Global Support Center in Rosemont, IL. In this key role, you will report directly to the Director of Business Solutions and leverage an enterprise-wide, global viewpoint to align IT and business initiatives that directly support our organizational mission. Your primary focus will be developing software customizations and extensions for the Oracle E-Business Suite and other enterprise applications. You will work closely with business stakeholders in a quality-conscious, customer-focused environment to design and deliver reliable, high-value solutions that meet critical end-user needs.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Global Support Center in Rosemont, IL. M/F are remote days and T-Th are in-office collaboration days.

• Perform full life-cycle development of software customizations and extensions in an Oracle E-Business Suite environment 
• Work with business users to develop software requirements 
• Build software using various technologies 
• Deploy and support software in a production environment 
• Participate in ongoing software development process improvement 
• Ensure work product is built according to standards and processes 
• Participate in creation and ongoing refinement of standards and processes 
• Provide high quality customer service to business users 
• Provides continuous production support on Oracle eBusiness Suite and other integrated third-party applications as needed. 
• Strives for continuous improvement of business processes and system functionality. 
• Creates documentation including MD70, implementation guides, and code standards for third party support.  
• Owns development of technical code specifications. 
• Takes part in IT functional unit testing and integration testing. 
• Helps in troubleshooting, diagnosis and resolution efforts.   
• Assumes additional project responsibilities as assigned. 
• Makes recommendations on priorities, design changes, improvements, and problem resolutions.  
• Develops functional changes enhancement requests within the Oracle modules. 
• Weekend and evening support required - as needed. 

Technical Expertise & Experience

• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in Oracle E-Business Suite (r12/r development.
• Proficiency required in the following (priority order): Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle SQL (DDL/DML/complex queries), Oracle Reports, Oracle E-Business Suite AOL, XML, BI Publisher, Workflow, UNIX scripting, SQL Tuning, and Oracle Forms.
• Familiarity with functional business processes and the ability to quickly translate them into software requirements.
• Experience with Java and OAF is a plus.
• Bonus: Experience building REST APIs, scripting languages, and working with XML/JSON message formats.
• Experience collaborating with third-party and off-shore supplemental development resources.

• Fluent in English with proficient written communication and presentation skills.

Education

• Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
