Job Overview

As our workload continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Revit Designer/BIM Detailer to join our team in Houston. The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for producing electrical shop drawings using thorough knowledge of Computer-aided drafting (CAD/BIM/Revit) system standards, practices and techniques. We are looking for a self-starting, detailed orientated, organized designer/detailer who is a team player with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with REVIT, Bluebeam, and Navisworks to create, modify, and release drawings.
• Create an accurate, coordinated, and information-rich model for visualization and data management on all projects.
• Coordinate and consult with other team members to design or layout detailed components and to resolve design or other problems.
• Self-check your own work for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
• Work from drawings, sketches, scanned images, customer drawings, or government drawings or specifications.
• Attend project meetings and provide information about the status of requested designs.
• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related information.
• Produce mark-up drawings for layout purposes using Bluebeam.
• Create prefabrication drawings.
• Modify and revise designs to correct inefficiencies or to reduce production problems

Requirements

• 2 years of experience with Revit design, Bluebeam and Navisworks.
• Minimum of 2years of relevant experience working on commercial facility projects.
• Strong PC and CAD skills, as well as efficiency in utilizing computer software to complete design assignments.
• Ability to understand architectural and structural drawings.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Superior time management skills and the ability to multi-task; employee will be expected to work on simultaneous, fast-paced projects with critical deadlines.
• Experience as a commercial electrician is a plus
• Degree in Computer Aided Drafting Technology is a plus

TRAVEL REQUIRED:

Requires the ability to report to job sites or offices throughout Texas.
