Senior Backend Engineer

About the Role - Onsite Role – In Office Only

We're hiring a Backend Engineer to help build and scale the core financial infrastructure behind a fast-growing platform. This is a
fully onsite, in-office role
where you'll collaborate closely with engineers, product leaders, and stakeholders in real time.

We are
not offering remote or hybrid work
for this position.

What You'll Work On:

• Architect and build backend systems for payments, digital wallets, credit workflows, payouts, and financial reporting
• Design and maintain scalable GraphQL and REST APIs connecting internal services and external financial partners
• Develop internal tools that surface customer payments, revenue trends, default rates, and business performance metrics
• Improve reliability, data integrity, and performance across high-volume services
• Work side by side with product, data, and infrastructure teams in an
  onsite, collaborative environment
• Enhance logging, monitoring, and observability across AWS-powered systems
• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to team-wide engineering standards

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience in production environments
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, (NestJS preferred)
• Experience building and scaling GraphQL and REST APIs
• Advanced experience with PostgreSQL, schema design, and performance optimization
• Solid hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, CDK)
• Background in payments, fintech, or financial APIs strongly preferred
• Experience with CI/CD using GitHub, GitLab, or similar tools
• Comfortable working in a
  fully in-office environment with no remote flexibility

Great to Have:

• Experience in event-driven or microservices architectures
• Exposure to KYC/KYB, underwriting, or ledger systems
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
• Experience with financial data platforms or high-volume transaction systems
