Key responsibilities as a CDL driver for dnata Catering, your primary responsibility is the safe and timely transportation of catering supplies to various airports and airlines. You will be responsible for loading and unloading catering trucks, ensuring that all items are properly secured and protected during transit. Your attention to detail is crucial in verifying the accuracy of catering orders and ensuring that they are delivered to the correct destinations. As a CDL driver, you will also be responsible for inspecting and maintaining the vehicles, reporting any mechanical issues or concerns promptly. Your ability to follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, is essential in maintaining a high level of safety and professionalism. Additionally, your strong communication skills will enable you to interact with airline personnel and other team members effectively. Your dedication to delivering exceptional service and your commitment to maintaining a positive relationship with clients will contribute to the overall success of the dnata Catering company.

You Will
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load & unload trucks to cater to aircraft.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Communicate with the flight crew, maintain good relations with the customer.
- Work in a safe manner to prevent accidents to self and coworkers.
- Cater to the airlines professionally.
- Ensure flights are catered correctly and on time.
- Comply with all HACCP/GMP and sanitation for proper food handling policies and procedures.
- Comply with Ramp Safety policies and procedures, safety vests must be worn while out on the field.
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Other duties as assigned.
The salary for this position is $28.00 hourly with weekly pay, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
You Have
EDUCATION: Minimum of a High School Diploma CDL A or B License / endorsement required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in a Warehouse/Airline catering environment.
- The ability to meet requirements necessary to obtain a PANYNJ (Port Authority), Port ID (per TSA regulations and more specifically, 49 CFR §
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Reliable - excellent attendance & punctuality
- Schedule flexibility is a must, ability to work 1st or 2nd shifts.
- Ability to lift and push heavy objects, racks, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work safely to prevent accidents to self and coworkers.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
Intellectual/Social demands:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly.
Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly.
Work environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold/heat (weather), heights and loud noise (earplugs must be worn while on the Ramp)
