Description
JOB SUMMARY:
This role leads the marketing strategy, planning, and execution for the Utah Mammoth Amateur Hockey Association at Utah Mammoth's Practice & Training Facility. The position is responsible for driving program participation, attendance, and revenue through data-driven marketing initiatives, including social media management, paid social campaigns, email marketing, website content, and promotional collateral. This role also oversees end-to-end project workflow in Asana, ensuring timely delivery of creative assets and campaigns across teams. Collaboration with design, programming, and operations teams is essential to maintain brand consistency, support registration efforts, and bring the experience to life across all channels. This position works closely with the Director of Marketing and the Mammoth Youth Team on strategy, objectives, and program execution.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leverage consumer insights and market data to develop strategic marketing initiatives that drive attendance, increase participation, and grow revenue for the Utah Mammoth Amateur Hockey Association programming at the Sandy Facility.
  • Lead strategy, content planning, and execution of all social media across platforms.
  • Own the development, planning, and execution of paid social advertising.
  • Plan, build, and deploy email marketing strategies and campaigns in support of the Utah Mammoth Amateur Hockey Association programs and registration goals.
  • Manage all digital platforms—including website and social channels—ensuring timely content creation, accurate program information, and strong promotional support.
  • Oversee project and workflow management within Asana, including task delegation, timeline management, approvals, file organization, and progress tracking.
  • Create and maintain project timelines, milestone calendars, and cross-team communication to ensure work is executed on schedule.
  • Coordinate trafficking of media and campaign deliverables to ensure timely, on-brand, and budget-aligned execution.
  • Partner with the design team to develop compelling marketing collateral that supports programming, registration, community engagement, and brand storytelling.
  • Ensure brand and message consistency across all marketing channels and materials.
  • Lead the creative and content approval process for all Iceplex programming materials.
  • Manages part-time or intern staff as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
  • Many events and programs occur at night, on holidays and over the weekend and your attendance may be mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (marketing degree preferred).
  • Two years' work experience in marketing (required).
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with common social media platforms, project management software (asana/smartsheet) and Google workspace in order to effectively perform duties.
  • Word Press experience preferred.
  • Must possess creative thinking and attention to detail.
  • Be a proactive, analytical problem solver.
  • Able to work both independently and well with others.
  • Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends.
  • Please be aware that most events and programs are at night and many fall on weekends, and may include traditional holidays.
  • Location Requirements: This role is based in Sandy, Utah and is an onsite position.

Physical Demands

  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
  • This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
