Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and personable Server to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, excellent customer relations skills, and familiarity with POS systems. This role involves delivering high-quality guest service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring guests feel welcomed and satisfied from start to finish. Experience in fine dining or hospitality settings is preferred, and candidates should demonstrate a passion for the food industry and guest relations.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
• Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables for new guests
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and wine pairings to provide expert recommendations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles, including serving, host/host, or bartending positions
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and hospitality
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and bill splitting
• Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is a plus
• Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations is beneficial
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
