Maintenance Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability and optimal performance of our industrial equipment and systems. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in diagnosing malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance, and implementing effective repairs to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. Your proficiency in areas like hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems will be crucial to your success.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a strong safety culture by actively participating in safety programs and adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and other equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical expertise to restore functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Interpret technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to facilitate accurate repairs and maintenance.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and production teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations.
• Ensure equipment reliability through proper lubrication, adjustments, and component replacements.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and heights, and stand/walk for extended periods.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Prior experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
