LotusWorks is seeking a Mechanical Facilities Engineer to support the daily operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical mechanical systems within a high-tech semiconductor facility. This role ensures that systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with engineering insight, enabling them to maintain and optimize facility equipment while supporting long-term reliability and performance goals. Collaboration with technicians, engineers, and vendors is key in this fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of mechanical and process systems, ensuring consistent performance and reliability.
  • Provide engineering oversight and technical guidance for daily operations and maintenance activities.
  • Develop, implement, and improve preventive and corrective maintenance programs in alignment with client and facility standards.
  • Conduct system rounds, record readings, and monitor mechanical performance through control systems (SCADA/BMS) or manual checks.
  • Support preservation activities for both operating and non-operating systems to maintain readiness and integrity.
  • Review and update technical documentation, procedures, and job plans for maintenance and system reliability.
  • Analyze system data to identify performance trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Respond promptly to equipment alarms, shutdowns, or abnormal conditions, coordinating with engineers, OEMs, and vendors for resolution.
  • Ensure all mechanical systems operate within defined parameters while maintaining safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize maintenance strategies, improve system uptime, and share technical knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and technical documentation of maintenance and engineering activities.
  • Participate in training and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.

Skills Required

  • We invite anyone who is entry level to those who have 3–10 years of experience in operations, maintenance, or engineering roles in a semiconductor, manufacturing, or industrial facility, to apply.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and technical procedures.
  • Experience with reliability engineering principles, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems such as HVAC, process utilities, and facility support equipment.
  • Familiarity with maintenance procedures, preservation practices, and safe state verification.
  • Ability to interpret and follow technical procedures, preservation checklists, and operational guidelines.
  • Proficient in documenting activities and updating operational systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and escalation skills in response to alarms, shutdowns, or equipment issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for working with engineers, vendors, and site leadership.

Education / Licenses / Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Alternatively, Associate's degree or technical diploma with relevant hands-on experience considered.
  • Technical certifications in mechanical systems, HVAC, or reliability engineering are an advantage.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
