**We are currently in need of three lead project structural engineers in the Austin, DFW and Houston Texas Metro regions**

This is a 1099 contractor role ideal for entrepreneurial-minded professionals, looking to build their own practice, with a fully supportive collaboration of leadership and fellow engineers and architects.

What You'll Do

You'll apply your expertise to small and medium residential and commercial projects, including field work, forensic evaluations, and real estate-related assessments. You'll deliver complete solutions directly to clients while building your professional practice within a supportive framework.

Who You Are

We are looking for experienced professional licensed Structural Engineers

  • Have 6+ years of structural engineering experience
  • Field/design experience – e.g., inspections, as-built verification, and on-site investigations, design of steel, concrete, wood structures
  • Exposure to site conditions, diagnostics, and forensic analysis, or interest in forensic investigations and performing home/building inspections is desired
  • Interested in project management
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with clients
  • Enjoy having direct client relationships
  • Engage in local marketing activities to attract clients, and look for opportunities for referral work
  • Natural leader and decision maker
  • Authorized to work in the United States

What We Provide

  • Collaborative peer network – licensed engineers and architects with weekly regional and national zoom calls
  • Ongoing mentorship and knowledge-sharing – expanding the skillsets of our engineers for their professional development
  • The depth and expertise of a collaborative of civil, structural, forensic, MEP engineers and registered architects to partner with on projects

Additional Details Job Type: Contract (1099)Schedule: Flexible — most engineers work an average of 30–40 hours per week

Expected Commission Range: $75,000 – $175,000 annually, depending on individual workload and project volume.

We invest heavily in marketing support to generate quality project leads and help you maintain a full-time workload. To fully realize your entrepreneurial success within the Level model, you'll also be responsible for building your own referral network and developing industry relationships.

Within the Level collaborative, we mentor and coach our design professionals to expand their potential as entrepreneurs
