We are looking for an experienced line cook to join our team. In this position, your goal will be to prepare high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standard.

You will be responsible for preparing dishes, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.

You will play an important role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and growth within the company.

Line Cook Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and selects cuts of meat, poultry, fish and vegetables. Portions and prepared food items prior to cooking.
  • Complies with all portion sizes and quality standards. Plates and garnishes cooked items.
  • Selects and uses knives, hand tools, utensils and equipment to portion, cut, slice, dip, batter, whip, beat, maintain holding temperature, fry, sauté', or otherwise produce food in the kitchen.
  • Is expected to be thoroughly familiar with and able to explain all menu items and specials effectively.
  • Must properly store food utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements with label and date.
  • Is expected to clean and sanitize all workstations and equipment and follow all regulations, policies, and procedures for sanitation and maintenance.

Line Cook Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure operational quality aspects are met.
  • Possess a working knowledge in all aspects of kitchen stations.
  • Ability to take instructions, as well as relay instructions in a constructive manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of all food products in use and in stock.
  • Prepare food with proper seasonings and flavors.
  • Work with team members and use the strengths of each to accomplish goals in the kitchen.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Reports to work on scheduled days and time.
  • Follows all safety policies to insure a safe work area.
  • Honors all reasonable requests made by a manager or supervisor, which may be outside you normal job activities to achieve complete guest satisfaction and service throughout the restaurant.

Schedule:

Full-time: Schedule varies; to include evenings, weekends & some holidays.

Part time options available. Open schedule needed.

Experience: At least 6 months in another food preparation position is desirable but actual experience is not required to apply.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
