We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen by preparing ingredients, assisting with meal preparation, and ensuring that all food items are handled safely and efficiently. Responsibilities

• Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and specifications.
• Assist in cooking and assembling dishes under the guidance of the head chef or kitchen manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food storage.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure that all food items are handled safely.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, and mixers with care.
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food as needed.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.

Experience

• Previous experience in a food service or culinary role is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety standards is essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques are advantageous.
• A background in catering or dietary aide roles is a plus for this position.
