Floater Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Floater Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The Floater Teacher provides flexible classroom coverage across various age groups, supporting consistent learning experiences for children. This role is ideal for someone passionate about childhood development, experienced in classroom management, and skilled in multi tasking.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support across multiple classrooms, adapting to different age groups and curricula as needed
• Assist with curriculum development and implement lesson plans aligned with educational standards
• Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through effective behavior management and classroom strategies
• Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to ensure a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• Engage children in literacy education, math activities, physical education, and other developmental programs
• Monitor student progress through observations and standardized testing when applicable
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding child welfare, progress, and classroom activities
• Support early intervention efforts and special education needs as required
• Ensure classroom cleanliness, safety protocols, and adherence to childcare regulations

Skills

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management
• Familiarity with special education, behavior management, and early intervention strategies
• Ability to work effectively with children of various ages including toddlers and preschoolers
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
• Experience working in daycare settings or private schools is preferred
• Knowledge of Montessori methods or experience with literacy education, math instruction, and physical education is a plus
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom needs and support multiple classrooms as a floater teacher
• Childcare experience that demonstrates patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners

Pay: $ $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
