Line / Prep Cook Description
We are looking for line / prep cooks to prepare food to the Executive Chef's specifications and to set up stations for the menu (s) of the Schneider Restaurant Group LLC. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the Executive Chef and kitchen manager with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Job Responsibilities
● Be able to open the kitchen properly and ready to serve guests
● Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
● Prepare food for service (e.g. prepping sauces, chopping vegetables)
● Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
● Answer, report and follow kitchen manager's instructions.
● Clean up their respective station and take care of leftover food.
● Stock inventory appropriately.
● Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
● Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
● Maintain a positive and professional approach with fellow line cooks and front of house personnel.
Skills
● Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
● Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
● Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
● Familiar with culinary industry's best practices.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
