Job Summary: Line Cook at Sahara Grill, Miami
Role: Hands-on cooking on a busy Mediterranean/Middle Eastern line. You'll cook chicken and beef, oil and maintain the line, season meats to house specs, clean/reset stations, and follow recipes for consistent flavor and presentation.
What you'll do
- Grill & line: Cook proteins to proper doneness; keep the line oiled, hot, organized, and clean.
- Recipes & builds: Prepare shawarma pita sandwiches, wraps, and bowls—select the right vegetables and sauces, layer neatly, and wrap for presentation and to-go.
- Quality & plating: Finish and plate items attractively and efficiently; uphold our standards every ticket.
- Food safety: Follow health regulations and proper handling at all times.
- Operations: Prep ingredients, track low inventory on your station, and communicate needs promptly.
- Teamwork: Coordinate with the kitchen to keep service smooth during rushes.
What you need
- Strong knife skills, speed, and clean work habits.
- Ability to memorize build specs, cook times, and execute under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety and station organization; catering experience a plus.
- Menu fluency across items like kafta kebab, chicken/filet mignon skewers, arayes, and shawarma.
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 8 per week
