Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized HR Generalist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, tax reporting, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday payroll systems, a strong background in payroll management, and a solid understanding of HR practices related to compensation, benefits, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

  • Accurately process bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring all data is correct and up to date.
  • Maintain payroll records, including wage adjustments, benefits deductions, commission payouts, and tax withholdings.
  • Manage direct deposit setups, payroll corrections, and final paychecks.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees.

HR Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Prepare and file compliance reports as required.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR processes and records to ensure ongoing compliance.

Employee Support:

  • Provide guidance to employees on payroll and compliance-related matters.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns related to payroll discrepancies or compliance issues.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on HR compliance topics, such as anti-discrimination laws, workplace safety, and ethical conduct.

HR Systems and Reporting:

  • Utilize HRIS and payroll software to manage employee data and generate reports.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Generate and analyze payroll and HR compliance reports for management review.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of payroll experience with a strong HR background in compliance and benefits administration.
  • Multi-state payroll experience is strongly preferred.
  • Workday Payroll experience is required (must-have).
  • Solid understanding of payroll practices, wage and hour regulations, and tax compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Certification such as CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional) is a plus.

Pay: $65, $75,000.00 per year
