Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager - Restaurant to oversee daily operations of our bustling dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, controlling inventory, and maintaining overall restaurant performance. The General Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment and driving the restaurant's success across all facets of hospitality and food service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and kitchen management.
  • Oversee staff training, development, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of customer service and food quality.
  • Manage shift schedules, staffing levels, and labor costs to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Maintain inventory control, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards such as HACCP.
  • Handle cash management duties including POS transactions using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
  • Implement and uphold restaurant policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Monitor customer feedback to enhance service quality and address any issues promptly.
  • Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and cost control initiatives to maximize profitability.
  • Coordinate special events like banquets or catering services when required.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership, communication, and conflict resolution.

Requirements

  • Proven management experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus.
  • Extensive background in food industry operations including food preparation, cooking, food handling, and food safety protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling experience required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or assistant manager experience.
  • Excellent team management abilities with skills in staff training & development.
  • Experience in inventory control, budgeting, and food production management.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.
  • Ability to manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of hospitality and cleanliness.
  • Culinary experience or background in hospitality management is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
