JOB TITLE: Human Resource Lead

Position Summary
The HR Lead serves as a key resource and go-to partner for HR representatives across all Wonder Food Group facilities. This experienced role provides guidance, consistency, and hands-on support in day-to-day HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, and compliance. The HR Lead helps elevate HR processes, strengthens company culture, and supports multi-site initiatives while remaining adaptable to assist with administrative needs and cross-functional projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports and guides local HR representatives across multiple locations to ensure consistent HR practices, policy enforcement, and employee experience
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, work assessments, and certifications, including safety, harassment prevention, and job-specific requirements
- Leads or supports recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and coordinating hiring activities; partners with department managers to understand talent needs and skill requirements
- Oversees and conducts background checks, employee eligibility verification, and onboarding processes; ensures each site delivers a consistent orientation experience
- Assists HR reps in administering HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave management, disciplinary actions, investigations, unemployment claims, and workers' comp cases
- Provides support in performance and talent management processes, team productivity, recognition initiatives, morale programs, safety efforts, and training and development
- Partners with the VP Operations and Executive Team to respond to employee and manager inquiries across locations, escalating complex or sensitive issues as needed
- Participates in and guides HR reps through disciplinary meetings, terminations, investigations, and documentation best practices
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws across multiple jurisdictions; regularly reviews and updates policies to maintain legal and operational alignment
- Stays current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and HR technology; shares updates and recommendations with local HR teams
KNOWLEDGE
- Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)
- Strong understanding of HR operations in a multi-site environment
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources or employee relations, preferably with multi-facility exposure
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
- Experience with ADP payroll or similar HRIS systems

Salary Range:
$70,000–$80,000
