About the Role

If you're looking for a role where your work actually moves the business—not just the books—this is it. We're scaling fast, expanding across multiple entities, and need someone who knows how to build structure, lead a team, and tighten up financial operations without slowing down growth.

You'll own the full accounting function for our Arizona region from day one, with clear runway to expand your scope nationwide as we continue to grow. You'll partner directly with senior leadership, influence key decisions, and build a high-performance accounting team that can scale with the business.

What You'll Lead
  • Financial operations for the Arizona region: billing, A/R, A/P, CoA, treasury/cash, job cost accounting, and revenue recognition (WIP).
  • Monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Month-end and year-end close across multiple entities, including consolidations.
  • Regulatory and tax compliance in partnership with our external tax team.
  • Cash flow management and liquidity optimization across a multi-entity structure.
  • KPI development and analysis to drive performance and operational efficiency.
  • Hiring, mentoring, and developing a strong accounting team.
  • Technical accounting matters and US GAAP compliance.
  • ERP implementation (Microsoft Business Central), including process design and system migration.
  • External audits—coordination, timelines, and communication.
  • Internal control environment, financial processes, and policy improvements.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with regional and corporate leadership.
  • Post-acquisition integration across teams, systems, and data.
What You Bring

Education & Credentials

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • CPA, CMA, or graduate degree (preferred)

Experience

  • 7+ years progressive accounting experience
  • 3+ years in controllership leadership
  • Background in construction, field services, or similar (preferred)

Technical Strengths

  • Strong command of US GAAP
  • Experience with ASC 350, 606, 718, 835, 842
  • Job cost accounting, WIP, and multi-entity operations
  • Advanced Excel + Microsoft Office
  • ERP experience; Business Central and Power BI are a plus

Work Environment

The pay range for this role is:
