Position: Senior Program Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Program Manager with a strong background in Software Development and a proven track record of delivering regulatory programs. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Financial Data Services in Capital Markets, enabling them to effectively manage complex projects and drive successful outcomes. This is a contractor position based in Toronto, Ontario.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage software development projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks.
Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including technical teams, business units, and regulatory bodies.
Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and issues.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members in best practices and methodologies.
Mandatory Skills:
15+ years of experience in program management within the software development domain.
Strong expertise in Financial Data Services in Capital Markets.
Proven track record of delivering regulatory programs successfully.
Excellent project management skills, including proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards in Capital Markets.
Experience in managing teams in a remote or hybrid work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
Advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus.
