Heavy Forklift Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Heavy Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will operate GT-155 Taylor forklift heavy equipment unload, and move materials throughout the facility. Your expertise in warehouse distribution, materials handling, and heavy equipment operation will ensure smooth shipping and receiving processes while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties

• Safely operate forklifts, and use basic hand tools to repair damages.
• Conduct order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately
• Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety guidelines and mechanical best practices
• Handle materials with precision using pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment for optimal warehouse flow
• Assist with shipping & receiving operations by verifying inbound and outbound shipments
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to coordinate daily tasks and ensure timely order fulfillment

Experience

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or clamp trucks in a warehouse or construction setting
• Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, order picking, and materials handling techniques
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols
• Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred
• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems for inventory control and order processing
• Prior warehouse experience with shipping & receiving operations is highly desirable
• Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management best practices is a plus

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
