Black Canyon, a modern American steakhouse known for wood-fired flavors, upscale comfort, and exceptional hospitality, is seeking a passionate Culinary Lead to join our kitchen leadership team.

In this role, you'll help guide daily back-of-house operations, uphold our high culinary standards, support team development, and ensure every plate reflects the quality our guests expect. Duties

  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards
  • Assist with menu planning and development to align with dietary needs and customer preferences
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in proper food handling, safety procedures, and culinary techniques
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to prevent shortages
  • Coordinate catering events and special meal services as required
  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment conducive to high-quality food production
  • Support team members during busy periods to ensure timely meal service

Requirements

  • 5+ years kitchen experience in a high volume setting
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and food handling
  • Familiarity with catering services and serving procedures
  • Leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and supervise staff effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food quality and safety standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism
  • Prior experience in the food industry or kitchen management is preferred
  • Multi-lingual capabilities are desired, but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
