Role Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects that align with organizational goals and strategic initiatives. This role emphasizes Agile delivery, data-driven decision making, and PMI-based governance. The PM will manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring visibility through executive dashboards and standardized workflows. Success in this role requires strong leadership, Jira administration expertise, risk management, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning Execution Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocations. Manage scope, schedule, and cost to ensure successful delivery.
  • Agile Delivery Leadership Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
  • Standardize work item hierarchy (Strategic Themes → Initiatives → Epics → Stories). Coach teams on Agile best practices and foster continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement Communication Align project objectives with organizational strategy.
  • Maintain clear communication with leadership and cross-functional teams. Prepare executive-friendly dashboards and reports in Jira.
  • Risk Contingency Management Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with Jira outage contingency SOP and automate backup processes.
  • Budget Resource Management Track project budgets and report variances. Optimize resource allocation across multiple initiatives.
  • Compliance Governance Ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory standards (e.g., data privacy).
  • Implement structured change management processes for evolving priorities.
  • Vendor Third-Party Coordination Manage external vendors and contractual deliverables when applicable.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making Leverage analytics and KPIs to inform decisions and optimize delivery.
  • Monitor Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) and PMI indicators (EVM).

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5 years in project management within Agile environments.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Agile reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with automation and integration points.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related field.

Certifications:

  • PMP or SAFe Agilist preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in project management with hybrid Agile-PMI experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with vendor coordination and compliance governance.
