Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction & Landscape Estimator to join our innovative team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution. Responsibilities
- Prepare or review comprehensive construction and landscape estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and site conditions using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms that align with project budgets and company standards.
- Develop detailed cost proposals, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Review construction contracts and scope of work documents to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor project progress through on-site visits and coordinate with construction management teams to ensure estimates reflect actual conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimating activities, including bid submissions, revisions, and correspondence related to pricing strategies.
- Support project management teams by providing cost control insights throughout the project lifecycle to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating within the commercial landscape or erosion control sectors, demonstrating a strong understanding of construction processes and cost control techniques.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid or equivalent platforms is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with software for digital plan review and markup is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of construction site operations, safety protocols, and project management principles.
- Experience negotiating contracts and managing relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Construction site experience is a plus, providing valuable insight into on-the-ground realities that influence accurate estimating. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50, $70,000.00 per year
