Title: Proposal Coordinator
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Summary of Position: The Proposal Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the company's marketing and business development initiatives. This position demands creativity, collaboration, attention to detail, and exceptional writing skills, as the primary focus is creating materials that support and ultimately help secure new business opportunities and projects. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while collaborating with various departments.
Typical Duties:
- Work cross-functionally with the BDM team, internal departments, and external partners to create engaging print and digital materials that strengthen pursuits and help secure new projects.
- Create qualifications packages, proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials that promote the Blach brand, showcase firm capabilities, and highlight key projects.
- Design engaging graphics and infographics to effectively communicate ideas and enhance visual storytelling.
- Evaluate and interpret RFQ and RFP requirements to craft strategic, customized responses that align with client objectives and ensure complete, compliant submissions.
- Collaborate closely with the Business Development and Marketing (BDM) team and other departments to develop clear, compelling technical and proposal content aligned with Blach's value proposition and client needs.
- Contribute to the development and execution of proposal capture strategies that strengthen pursuit efforts.
- Provide support for CRM administration, including data entry, reporting, and knowledge management.
- Offer general support for marketing and business development initiatives, including research, event planning and execution, seasonal client engagement efforts, and other related activities.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage a diverse workload in a fun, but deadline-driven and fast-paced environment
- Excellent written, interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
- Flexible, detail-oriented, self-starter/team player committed to quality
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is required.
- Experience with Unanet (Cosential) or similar CRM system is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years relevant experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction fields preferred
Location: Northern California (Bay Area)
Position Status: Full-time, regular business hours, non-exempt
